Does COPA offer same-day appointments for sick or injured kids?
Yes — we reserve same-day openings every day for illnesses, injuries, and urgent concerns. If your child wakes up sick, we’ll make sure they’re seen promptly.
What preventive care services are included in routine visits?
Well-child visits include growth and development checks, vision and hearing screening, nutrition and sleep guidance, behavioral support, immunizations, and time for your questions. These visits help us track your child’s health and catch concerns early.
Are immunizations and lab testing available onsite?
Yes. COPA provides all routine childhood vaccines and a wide range of point-of-care lab testing right in the clinic for quick results. If your child needs additional laboratory studies, we can draw labs in-office and send them directly to the St. Charles lab for convenient processing.
What’s the average wait time for appointments at COPA?
We encourage families to build a long-term relationship with their primary care provider. Because of this, well-child visits with your child’s PCP may need to be scheduled several weeks in advance. Problem oriented visits are available within a few days, and we always reserve same day appointments for urgent concerns. In-office wait times are typically short — we do our best to keep your family’s day running smoothly.
Does COPA offer care for teens and young adults?
Absolutely. Our pediatricians in Bend and Redmond Oregon care for patients through age 18, offering support for puberty, mental health, sports medicine, and the transition to adult healthcare. At their 18 year well check, we will discuss the transition to adult care. Teens appreciate having a team that understands their unique needs.
