COPA MyHealth Messaging for Non-Urgent Concerns

MyHealth messaging is a convenient way to communicate with your child’s care team about non-urgent medical questions or requests. Please note that responses may take up to 3 days for a response depending on the nature of your message.

For urgent concerns, please call our office to schedule a visit. For emergencies, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Billing for Certain MyHealth Messages

Some services provided through MyHealth messaging are now a standard part of healthcare. Beginning April 1st 2026 Central Oregon Pediatric Associates (COPA) may bill for MyHealth message requests that require a provider to spend five or more minutes of clinical time and medical expertise to review and respond.

Services That May Result in a Charge

A charge may apply for MyHealth messages that involve medical decision-making, clinical assessment, or detailed review of your child’s health record.

Examples include:

  • New health concerns that need clinical evaluation or specialty referral
  • Review or modification of current medications
  • Ongoing care questions related to chronic health conditions
  • Notable changes in a long-standing medical issue
  • Completion of forms that require provider review or medical judgment

Services That Will Not Be Charged

Most MyHealth messages will continue at no charge to you including:

  • Administrative requests such as Forms or Record requests or requesting to schedule an appointment
  • Prescription refill requests without changes
  • Questions that result in scheduling a same day or imminent visit
  • Brief updates that do not require medical evaluation
